Emily St. John Mandel

EMILY ST. JOHN MANDEL is the bestselling author of five novels, including The Glass Hotel, which was chosen by President Barack Obama as one of his favorite books of 2020, and Station Eleven, which was a finalist for the National Book Award and the PEN/Faulkner Award for Fiction, won the 2015 Arthur C. Clarke Award, has been translated into thirty-three languages, and was made into a limited series on HBO Max. Her new novel, Sea of Tranquility, will be published in April 2022. It is a story of art, time, love, and plague that takes the reader from Vancouver Island in 1912 to a dark colony on the moon three hundred years later, unfurling a story of humanity across centuries and space. Originally from Canada, Mandel lives in New York City with her husband and daughter.
